It's been a LONG TIME

So it's been FOREVER since I have blogged.  Ever since my accident last year I have been in a FUNK!!!  Literally just two days ago I finally FEEL ALIVE.  I FEEL PURE JOY once again in my life and I am grateful for that.  So I thought I would post what I just posted on FB.  I don't know how often I will be blogging, but I know last year when I was writing it was so therapeutic for me.  So time will tell how often I write on here, but I am writing this for me because I am worth it.

I am so excited for summer and for the NEWNESS of life, my life, my childrens' lives. Two days ago the kdis and I started 4 journals.  A WANT JOURNAL, A GRATITUDE JOURNAL, A BOOKS READ JOURNAL, and lastly a HEALTH JOURNAL.

I really want to teach myself and my children what and how to live a happy joyous life and for me, these four aspects of our lives are some of the most important things.  It is a self esteem builder, a I AM AMAZING builder, a I AM LOVED builder and the list goes on and on and on.  So here is what we are doing for each journal.  We sit as a family each night and write in our journals.  These are mandatory family meetings we are doing nightly.  Here’s a break down of each journal and my reasoning behind it.
WANT JOURNAL:
I think so many people know what they don’t want in life, but do you really know what you want?  Do you really have a VISION for your deepest desires?  So for this journal I am having the kids write 3 WANTS a day.  They are dating each entry and then numbering them.  So by the end of the year they should have 1068 entries into their journals.  The rules for this are they are so DREAM THEIR BIGGEST DREAMS and write them down.  So for example, Tyler’s first day of entries looked like this.  I asked them not to repeat their wants for at least 3 months.  So this will really make them THINK and PONDER what they want out of their lives.
6/1/11
1.       IMSA
2.       Healthy and Muscular Body
3.       YALE
Those are things he wants to accomplish in his life.  Now Gracie, my 9 year old wrote this.
1.       A new puppy
2.       Great America passes
3.       Read better
I have just LOVED reading and listening to what they want.  It’s so great to just have these deep conversations with the kids.  I LOVE IT!!
GRATITUDE JOURNAL:
Again, we are dating the entry and then writing 3 things we are grateful for.  Now for this journal I have asked the kids to never repeat.  At least not for the first 3 years.  I know as they get older and look back on these journals they will see their growth and their passions.  My kids are 13,12 and 9.  How exciting that they are learning these things now!
BOOKS I HAVE READ JOURNAL:
For this journal, as soon as they finish a book they write the title, author and  date they finished reading it.  This is going to be an EXCELLENT source for them as well as me to remember what they have read and to feel a great sense of accomplishment for their reading.  My two oldest are AVID READERS and I am hopeful that Grace will become an avid reader.  I used to be, and one of my WANTS is to get back to reading.
HEALTH JOURNAL:
For this journal we are going to be tracking our exercise and food intake for each day.  I KNOW this will not only encourage a healthier lifestyle but we will all take ownership for our bodies and hopefully gain even more self esteem and self worth for all that we are accomplishing.  Also in this journal we will be journaling any illness we might have on a particular day.  I think this information will be invaluable in the future.  My entire household has gone to a HEALTHY, FRESH lifestyle.

For the first time in MANY MONTHS, I FEEL ALIVE!!!  I FEEL LOVED!!!  I FEEL UNSTOPPABLE!!!  I FEEL WORTHY OF ALL GOOD THINGS!!!  Much love to you all!  I hope you have an incredible summer with those you love and create eternal memories that you will carry with you into the next life.  Much love!
